A Special card for a Special Girl

A good friend of mine had asked me to make a card for her daughter's 18th birthday. My very first request!! I was excited and nervous to do it all at the same time. It took a while for me to play around with the layout and the inside of the card. She said her favorite color is Yellow, so I tried not to overdo it with the blue. I just wanted a complimentary color to help make it pop.

I got to use all sorts of techniques with this card! I used my Copics, my sewing machine, I heat embossed some images, used some stickles and my Martha Stewart punches. And tons of dimensionals for that 3D effect.

The inside of the card has a pocket which includes two tags. I figured she can write a few notes in there, or even stick a gift card on the tags.

Stamps: Sugar Nellies Kitty, PTI Faux Ribbon (sentiment)
Ink: SU Not Quite Navy Craft Ink, Versamark
Paper: SU Bashful blue, PTI Summer Sunrise, Chatterbox DSP, SU Prints Pack DSP
Misc: Clear EP, Copics, MS Punches, Primas, PTI Summer Sunrise Swiss Dots Satin Ribbon, stickles, dimensionals, sewing machine, misc white organza ribbon
