Over at the Inspired Crafters Blog we are holding challenges to get our holiday cards done early this year. Great concept for this procrastinator who didn't even send any cards out! It's unfathomable isn't it? A card maker did not send out cards for the biggest card sending occasion of the year. But this year things are changing. It makes this all very convenient when you have a basket full of stamps, dsp, ribbon, punches and embellies sitting on your craft table from last month.
This card came together easily. Well, besides the fact that I didn't have to look very far for the supplies...but because I had this cute Basic Grey paper that I loved. And it matched up perfectly with the cute stamped image of the eskimo girl. I doused her in some Martha Steward Glitter. LOVE this stuff!! I have been a glitter avoider for years and years. I hate that it gets everywhere. But Martha makes it easy to love. So much so, that I am now the proud owner of about a dozen bottles of her shiny happiness. Don't be surprised if you start seeing it on all of my projects in the near future. ;)
Stamps: PTI Holiday Button Bits, Basic Grey Snow Baby Bitsy Stamp
Ink: SU Ruby Red, Ranger Tea Dye Ink
Paper: PTI Aqua Mist, Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses
Misc: SU Certain Celery twill ribbon, MS Glitter, pop dots, copics
Susan...Gorgeous Card. Loved it. So do you use Martha Stewart Glitter Glue or which glue do you use? How long do you wait for the Glue to dry? Maybe I can bug you to do a post on Glitter and your tips on it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Banu :) I have so many different glues. But this time I used a glue adhesive that comes in a spray. I put the image in a coffee filter, sprayed it, then doused with glitter. Put the unused glitter back. It dried very quickly, quicker than most glues I've used.
ReplyDeleteThe glitter is wonderful! I especially like how well the paper goes with the image! Great job!
ReplyDeleteI love glitter! I usually sparkle with the stuff LOL! This is a beautiful card.
ReplyDeletevery cute!!!
ReplyDeleteAwww, so cute! Way to use those diecuts that come with the paper packs; I will have to try this....
ReplyDeleteAngela, that's not a die cut, it's a stamp. :)
ReplyDeleteYour bow is fabulous! And I love your sparkly eskimo girl. I can't believe that's a stamp and it coordinates so well with the paper! Fun finds.
ReplyDeleteWhat a simple layout made adorable by your choice of patterned paper and sparkly girl. I think it's ok that you didn't send cards at Christmas. Getting a head start now will assure you have them done for next holiday season. I have set a goal for myself to make/post a Christmas card every Thursday on my blog to help keep on track this year.
ReplyDeleteSoooooo CUTE! Love all the sparkle, and the colors are totally fun. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the glitter on this!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
