Cas-ual Friday Challenge #45 and Paper Dolls Challenge

I based this card on today's CAS-ual Friday challenge to use pastels and black. And also the Paper Dolls Spring with Bling Challenge.

However, I'm not too sure if it's really that CAS. I did fidget with a sentiment trying it here and there. Put it on a little tag, thought about stamping it on the window box. But decided against all of it because it really looked too busy.

I don't have the actual window box die so what I did was die cut the large Madison window and cut it off at the top. I turned it upside down and trimmed it down to fit the small window. I strategically placed the butterfly over the cut.

For the window curtains I used some sheer ribbon.

Somebody please remind me to let the stickles dry before I fidget, touch or mess with the card. I cannot tell you how many times I had to take the smear of glitter off of the wrong place and re-do it. And it definitely is not the first card I have ever done that. Will I ever learn?!

Be sure to check back tomorrow as there is a little blog  hop for a very special person!!

  1. Great card! The wood grain impression on the background is perfect. The ribbon curtain is brilliant, too!

Don't forget to let the Stickles dry before you touch it! :)

  6. You know those window dies are my favorites! I love how you made yours work just the scale you wanted too. Love the dark shutters with the curtains behind. The little butterfly was just right resting on the flowerbox. Very pretty card Susan.

  15. Beautiful and perfect for the challenge! I have to put my stickles on last and walk away - same with the glossy accents. Otherwise I mess everything up!
