I just received the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch yesterday and couldn't wait to play with it. I saw this <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zfL5rpuVH4&list=FLFxQYLwxJoCaI0Tv6ip-3JQ&index=2" target="_blank">You Tube Video</a> showing how you can make file folders. I thought I would apply that concept towards making tabbed Project Life cards.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Below you can see a sample of some different types of cards I made. All I needed was my WRMK Envelope Punch board, a kraft knife and a ruler. <i><b>Directions and measurements for each card are below the picture.</b></i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i><b><br /></b></i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i><b>(You can click on the pictures to make them larger.)</b></i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mhBpfvxscHI/UZaemwJs-oI/AAAAAAAAINA/bV1WyhhcPjM/s1600/IMG_1109.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mhBpfvxscHI/UZaemwJs-oI/AAAAAAAAINA/bV1WyhhcPjM/s320/IMG_1109.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>The pink card is a 4"x6" card with a tab that goes above the page</b> and sticks out 1/2" over the top.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Cut your cardstock 4-1/2"x6". </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Line up the left corner with the 1" mark on the Punch Board and punch. Then flip the cardstock over, move the corner to the 2" mark and punch. You will need to line up your ruler and cut off the excess cardstock with the kraft knife, like in the video. <b>This will give you either a right or left sided tab, depending on which side of cardstock you use. </b>I thought the tab on top like this would be great to use as a place mark. You can stamp or write a title, month, year, school grade...whatever you want!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>(If you don't want the tab to stick out of the page protector, cut the cardstock 4"x6" insstead.)</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z-ohrL6KmjY/UZagHYOSaSI/AAAAAAAAINw/D417oqjV9pE/s1600/IMG_1107.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z-ohrL6KmjY/UZagHYOSaSI/AAAAAAAAINw/D417oqjV9pE/s320/IMG_1107.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the <b>basic 3x4 card with a tab on top</b>. Start with a 3"x4-1/2" piece of cardstock. Line up the right side of the paper so that it is in the very center of the upside down "V" that the score line and the score guide makes. Punch. Flip the cardstock over and line up the left side to the 1" mark. Punch. Cut the excess off with a kraft knife or scissor.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HxBRJtQJg4E/UZafVOgzhUI/AAAAAAAAINY/ouOyuPZhVsQ/s1600/IMG_1101.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HxBRJtQJg4E/UZafVOgzhUI/AAAAAAAAINY/ouOyuPZhVsQ/s320/IMG_1101.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HxBRJtQJg4E/UZafVOgzhUI/AAAAAAAAINY/ouOyuPZhVsQ/s1600/IMG_1101.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HxBRJtQJg4E/UZafVOgzhUI/AAAAAAAAINY/ouOyuPZhVsQ/s1600/IMG_1101.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
Here is a<b> basic card with tab that stays inside</b> of the 3"x4" page protector. Cut a piece of 3"x4" piece of cardstock. Follow the same directions as above for the basic 3x4 card with a tab on top.<br />
<br />
<br />
<b><i> Notice the rounded corners? I just used the corner rounder on the WRMK Envelope punch. And as a plus, it's a perfect match to the Becky Higgins rounded corners on her PL cards.</i></b><br />
<b><i><br /></i></b>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HZGG7nLxwcg/UZaenXlGlbI/AAAAAAAAINI/7QRNusr7ix4/s1600/IMG_1111.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HZGG7nLxwcg/UZaenXlGlbI/AAAAAAAAINI/7QRNusr7ix4/s320/IMG_1111.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For this<b> Bifold card with a tab</b>, you will need a piece of cardstock that measures 4-1/2"x6". First score it at the 3" mark. (This will help with lining up.) Line up the left side of the cardstock at 2-1/2" and punch. Then flip the cardstock over and line up that score mark at 2-1/2" and punch. This gives you a centered tab. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ub8qNT2aMwA/UZaf6_WhDPI/AAAAAAAAINo/h1PGn7nIHDA/s1600/IMG_1112.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ub8qNT2aMwA/UZaf6_WhDPI/AAAAAAAAINo/h1PGn7nIHDA/s320/IMG_1112.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then you can add a photo or a journaling card or embellish how you wish. You can also round the corners with the corner rounder in back.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_2Fomaevvkc/UZae9Qw9UeI/AAAAAAAAINQ/pzmJRjakw9I/s1600/IMG_1105.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_2Fomaevvkc/UZae9Qw9UeI/AAAAAAAAINQ/pzmJRjakw9I/s320/IMG_1105.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This next card is like the bifold but it is made like a flap. I am showing what it looks like opened. For this<b> flip flap card</b> your cardstock will need to be 3"x8-1/2". Line up the right side of the paper so that it is in the very center of the upside down "V" that the score line and the score guide makes. Punch. Then flip over the cardstock and line up at the 2" mark and punch. Use your kraft knife (or scissors) to cut off the excess paper. Measuring from the un-tabbed side, score at 4" and fold. You can then round the corners if you prefer. And this card can be used as a flap so your page has some 3-D effect, or put the entire card in the pocket for some extra or private journaling. </div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: left;">
I am ready for the new year!!! Last year I attempted Project Life but it was an epic FAIL. For so many reasons. This year I've resolved to get to it, keep at it, and enjoy the process. I've been collecting things and I'm raring and ready to go!!</div>
<b><br /></b>
<b>We R Memory Keepers Album in Aqua</b></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NrtkYuiXuVw/UOMvjHV4sgI/AAAAAAAAHw0/ckEkP4OE4h0/s1600/aqua+album+2013.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NrtkYuiXuVw/UOMvjHV4sgI/AAAAAAAAHw0/ckEkP4OE4h0/s320/aqua+album+2013.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Becky Higgins Olive Edition Core Kit</b></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WT18AlWQ2rg/UOMv1QInMXI/AAAAAAAAHw8/QcObJipRBis/s1600/PL+OLive.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WT18AlWQ2rg/UOMv1QInMXI/AAAAAAAAHw8/QcObJipRBis/s320/PL+OLive.jpg" width="210" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>My Process</b></div>
<br />
I will be doing my weeks from Monday-Sunday. I want to keep the weekends together in one spread. Plus on Mondays I have to house to myself and can concentrate on putting the weekly layout together. I will take notes in my planner and transfer them onto journal cards or layouts.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Organization</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Organization is very important to me. Especially visually. If my craft room is a mess, I tend to lose all motivation. I like to have things in their place when I'm done creating. I've been able to successfully organize the basics: stamps, inks, PL journal cards, pens, markers, dies, adhesives, ribbon, washi, tools, cardstock and patterned paper. So far I'm very happy with the homes I've made for them.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
One thing that I was mulling over was how to keep my weekly spread organized. I know me...if it was just sitting in the album waiting for me to add stuff to it, it would end up not getting done. The weird thing about me being so visual is that I need to see it, BUT it has to be in some orderly fashion! So I came up with this idea. I'm using a magnetic wipee board for my weekly spreads. I altered some magnets with washi tape. The magnets hold up 2 of the Project Life Page Protectors (design A). I'm able to slip in photos or journal cards pretty easily. I intend to pull out the journal cards throughout the week and play around with them to see how I like them set up. For the area surrounding the pages I will be putting up misc items, maybe write down some ideas that pop up. I hope to utilize this baby as much as I can!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Q6ceXzPdzNA/UOMuN2kdhNI/AAAAAAAAHwk/yx1T89fXDcs/s1600/IMG_0410_1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="256" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Q6ceXzPdzNA/UOMuN2kdhNI/AAAAAAAAHwk/yx1T89fXDcs/s400/IMG_0410_1.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
You can see a bit of a closer look here. I am really loving the days of the week washi magnets. It will be a great way for me to keep track of what day the journal card is for. I have many other ideas swirling around!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tjTcvExllOw/UOMu4UrgSrI/AAAAAAAAHws/ho9vHs2N7rI/s1600/IMG_0414.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tjTcvExllOw/UOMu4UrgSrI/AAAAAAAAHws/ho9vHs2N7rI/s400/IMG_0414.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
So that's it for now. I just wanted to pop in and show y'all how I'll be spending my crafty time this year.<br />
<br />
Happy and Healthy New Year to you!! xoSusanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09139820193128606564noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3736257015175618045.post-45153341689769099902012-10-02T13:06:00.004-05:002012-10-02T13:06:53.160-05:00thinking of you Rainbow<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Yesterday I made another Garland card. A very special friend of mine just had a baby and I wanted to make a cute card. I used a few different stamp sets from a few different companies.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zInY_Zgh_DQ/UEC8BGY6dwI/AAAAAAAAGa8/SlqUNu5pO0M/s1600/IMG_9574.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="306" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zInY_Zgh_DQ/UEC8BGY6dwI/AAAAAAAAGa8/SlqUNu5pO0M/s400/IMG_9574.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
On the inside I used the Seed Packet die to hold a gift card. I wanted to show you guys how perfectly the new Counting my Blessings die fit on top of it.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
That's it for now! Off to go scrub some floors. Fun stuff. </div>

I just haven't been able to dedicate the time it takes. I've been a fan of Project Life for a couple of years but never fully jumped on the bandwagon for a few reasons. Sure, I bought all the supplies, hoarded them, but never used them. I finally took the plunge and bought the Clementine Core Kit pack on Amazon when it was for sale a couple of weeks ago.<br />
<br />
I like the new packaging it comes in. It keeps everything all neat and tidy. But I am a visual person. I need to see things in order to use them. So I scoured Pinterest and Google images for ways to store the kit. The only thing that caught my eye was <a href="http://stephpea.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341c464553ef0168e4f96526970c-pi" target="_blank">this organizer</a>, which of course is discontinued. And this neat <a href="http://iamjujudotcom.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/img_1105.jpg" target="_blank">wooden box</a>.<br />
<br />
What I wanted needed to be able to hold the 3x4 cards, the 4x6 cards, my patterned paper packs and scrapbook stamp sets. It also must be portable.<br />
<br />Enter Target. Aaahhh!! {angels singing} I brought one of the 3x4 cards with me to see where it would fit. I tried a few different organization trays. I found one that I liked okay. It fit the 3x4 cards perfectly and the 4x6 would fit too, but it still wasn't perfect. It was only $5 so I brought it home to decide.<br />
<br />

<br />
But when I was on my way out I walked by the Itso aisle. I found something that has everything that I needed! I was so excited!! Yes, organization thrills me. Hehe! (Here is the <a href="http://www.target.com/p/itso-wide-divided-fabric-tray-black/-/A-13475844#?lnk=sc_qi_detailbutton" target="_blank">online link</a> for what I purchased.)<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In the above photo, you can see how it fits the 4x6 cards side by side nicely.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0X8ZLM6sx0w/UCE67Upt6DI/AAAAAAAAGZ0/Kqd5FlTxg4s/s1600/IMG_9367.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0X8ZLM6sx0w/UCE67Upt6DI/AAAAAAAAGZ0/Kqd5FlTxg4s/s400/IMG_9367.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here are all the cards from the Clementine Core Kit. On the left are cards that I found online as free printables. Love that!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The Itso container fits perfectly in my Ikea Expedit shelf. I had to squeeze it in there, but it fits!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here is the beginning of my Project Life area. It will sit near the printer for easy access. It's also going to be in the family area so that the girls can make their own pages. I plan on having my scrapbook album on top of the shelf open to the current page so I can add to it as the week goes on. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I just love the Expedit series. Actually, I'm going back to Ikea today to return this small one and get a larger one! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I hope you found this somewhat helpful! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask in the comment section or email me. :)</div>

Today I received my PTI July Release order. That's the fastest my release order has arrived in a couple of years! I was so excited to see it today!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I thought I would take this opportunity to show you how I store my stamp sets now.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I switched all of my clear stamps from CD cases to binders. It wasn't as intimidating or as overwhelming as I thought it would be. As a matter of fact, it is such a perfect storage system for me, that the hours it took me to switch it all over was definitely worth it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>So this is how the stamp set arrives. Index label, stamps on acetate and tip sheet.</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nG4jm6D6p8o/UAiDilAr2eI/AAAAAAAAGXQ/JpJAiLgv33c/s1600/IMG_9286.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nG4jm6D6p8o/UAiDilAr2eI/AAAAAAAAGXQ/JpJAiLgv33c/s320/IMG_9286.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>The first thing I do is line up the index label with the stamps.</b></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OwIn288eLas/UAiD2bV7XgI/AAAAAAAAGXY/D69jMzNA_8k/s1600/IMG_9289.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OwIn288eLas/UAiD2bV7XgI/AAAAAAAAGXY/D69jMzNA_8k/s320/IMG_9289.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>I cut the index label down to size and cut off the name of the stamp set.</b></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H9JOWqDWYYw/UAiEPDhs8rI/AAAAAAAAGXg/FRG9hmJQL-M/s1600/IMG_9290.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H9JOWqDWYYw/UAiEPDhs8rI/AAAAAAAAGXg/FRG9hmJQL-M/s320/IMG_9290.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Next, I adhere the index label right onto the acetate.</b></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xReQkqGlvTk/UAiEfZt143I/AAAAAAAAGXo/izKIt3T9gKI/s1600/IMG_9292.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xReQkqGlvTk/UAiEfZt143I/AAAAAAAAGXo/izKIt3T9gKI/s320/IMG_9292.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>I smooth it down carefully.</b></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UAcmliLoiWQ/UAiEx5nsfwI/AAAAAAAAGXw/m46wCa0EyRw/s1600/IMG_9293.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UAcmliLoiWQ/UAiEx5nsfwI/AAAAAAAAGXw/m46wCa0EyRw/s320/IMG_9293.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Then the stamp set name label goes right onto the tip sheet.</b></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iOtZRvwMK24/UAiFDnSmMCI/AAAAAAAAGX4/QJEXiEET6SE/s1600/IMG_9295.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iOtZRvwMK24/UAiFDnSmMCI/AAAAAAAAGX4/QJEXiEET6SE/s320/IMG_9295.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>I slip it into my Martha Stewart page pocket. The $15 sets only needs half of a page, the $24 sets use both upper and lower pockets.</b></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-deHgTHpfWJ0/UAiFTZxhJMI/AAAAAAAAGYA/hUWVuVsNz4g/s1600/IMG_9296.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-deHgTHpfWJ0/UAiFTZxhJMI/AAAAAAAAGYA/hUWVuVsNz4g/s320/IMG_9296.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Then it goes into the proper binder. </b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>(Right now my Flowers/Butterflies binder is stuffed to the gills. Shocking, right?)</b></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--ERr3L9jKWA/UAiFlAGl56I/AAAAAAAAGYI/8hOGwZcHMAs/s1600/IMG_9297.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--ERr3L9jKWA/UAiFlAGl56I/AAAAAAAAGYI/8hOGwZcHMAs/s320/IMG_9297.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>So when I use the set, I just flip through the pages, find my set and take it out to use it. Once I'm finished, I have the tip sheet in the pocket with the stamp set label on it.</b></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KLC2rdNsbLA/UAiF3jGrqUI/AAAAAAAAGYQ/vcOKDBEeupw/s1600/IMG_9299.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KLC2rdNsbLA/UAiF3jGrqUI/AAAAAAAAGYQ/vcOKDBEeupw/s320/IMG_9299.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>This system is SO quick and EASY. </b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>And cheap! My only expenses are the binders and the pocket pages. Each costing about $3.</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Plus, it's condensed down so much that it gives me much more room to hide, er, </b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>I mean store my stamp sets.</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-f-wnfcZoZx8/UAiKtbVDywI/AAAAAAAAGYc/iPWDQKdDP1o/s1600/IMG_9302.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-f-wnfcZoZx8/UAiKtbVDywI/AAAAAAAAGYc/iPWDQKdDP1o/s320/IMG_9302.JPG" width="279" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now, if my kids either go to bed early tonight, or stay occupied enough in our A/C house tomorrow, I might be able to blog the cards I am making.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hope you are all staying cool in this heat!</div>Susanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09139820193128606564noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3736257015175618045.post-29563021362199887772012-07-05T05:00:00.000-05:002012-07-05T05:00:03.377-05:00Teacher's Card set<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Real quick card I made this morning. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I saw this week's <a href="http://thedynamicduoschallenge.blogspot.com/2012/06/dynamic-duos-9-crumb-cake-and-your.html" target="_blank">Dynamic Duos</a> and knew I need to use pink as my choice. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I absolutely LOVE the Kraft ribbon.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I just ordered some Crumb Cake ink last night.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So today I used PTI's Kraft ink which I love, but I cannot get used to the odd shape.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If you look closely you can see the vellum clouds.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Sending this one to Operation Write Home also.</div>

My parents are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary today. I can't believe it. I guess because when I was little people who celebrated their 50th were very, very old with gray hair. Not my parents. They look and act so young! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-J0pXQImxzYw/T-zk5TQOYfI/AAAAAAAAGVQ/46LtTwfVMsY/s1600/IMG_9187.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-J0pXQImxzYw/T-zk5TQOYfI/AAAAAAAAGVQ/46LtTwfVMsY/s320/IMG_9187.JPG" width="298" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
About a month ago, my father asked me to make a card for my Mom. I was flattered and more than happy to do it! I thought about it. And thought. And thought. And thought.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />Finally it was 3 days before their Anniversary. WHAT?!! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In my typical procrastination fashion I waited until the very last minute. I am talking glued the last pearl on the card at 4:45pm when I had to get it to the post office by 5. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />When will I ever learn!?!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Giving this challenge one last try. I really enjoy using vellum. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I need to incorporate it more often into my projects!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For this card, I stamped the Gladiolus image in Colorbox Frost White ink, then sprinkled with white embossing powder. I used my Dusty Concord Distress Ink and Waterbrush to fill in the flowers. The leaves are SU's Certainly Celery. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I stamped the sentiment with Fresh Ink's Lavendar onto the white cardstock. I adhered the vellum onto the white cardstock using my ATG gun. You can barely see the adhesive. I hope it stays invisible for a while. I've not had much success with vellum adhesive. This is a first for me.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fHegh8q1Ucw/T-JlfFrvhbI/AAAAAAAAGU0/Hhbbpx17A48/s1600/IMG_9062.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fHegh8q1Ucw/T-JlfFrvhbI/AAAAAAAAGU0/Hhbbpx17A48/s400/IMG_9062.JPG" width="302" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I tried the same exact technique with this Pink card except I used clear embossing powder. You can barely see the difference, but in real life the flowers have a stained glass effect. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gqU5kygQ0Oc/T-JlsJ0CWII/AAAAAAAAGU8/v-q3uy7sBnI/s1600/IMG_9064.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gqU5kygQ0Oc/T-JlsJ0CWII/AAAAAAAAGU8/v-q3uy7sBnI/s400/IMG_9064.JPG" width="325" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This last one was an oopsie. After I stamped and watercolored the image, I was trying to sew it to some white cardstock. However, right at the end, just when I thought I was home free, the sewing machine chewed up the vellum! So I just cut around the image and adhered it to some cardstock that I had already stamped and was laying around. Not too CAS, but thought I'd show it anyway. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The kids are in summer camp this week. Yahoo!! That means I get to play in my craft room. Or be lazy and do nothing without kids calling my name every 2 minutes. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This morning I did both. I was lazy, then I whipped up a card for this week's<a href="http://thedynamicduoschallenge.blogspot.com/2012/06/dynamic-duos-7-melon-mambo-with-black.html" target="_blank"> Dynamic Duos</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Of course it didn't come without some major mistakes. I got some ink on the white part below the tree. So I decided to add the ribbon there. :) And the other smudge is on the ribbon. But let's pretend it's not there and it's just a shadow. ;)</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This card also qualifies for <a href="http://papertreypaperdolls.blogspot.com/2012/06/june-challenge-celebrate-generosity.html" target="_blank">The Paper Dolls latest Challenge</a> which is to use something you have received from another crafter. I received this gorgeous ribbon from a PTI forum friend. I bought a stamp set from her and she gave me a ton of ribbon as a RAK. This is the first time using the ribbon. My next project will be a Thank you card for her. Hope to see you all soon!</div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I added a heart with a vellum butterfly as the "seal".</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
If you pull the mini card out, you can write a little note inside of it. I stamped some of the mini flowers from the Year of Flowers set on the front. </div>
<br />

Don't hold your breath, but I might even have another card to post this week!</div>

I love CAS-ual Fridays and I'm so happy whenever I get a chance to play!</div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I know y'all must be sick of my over-use of butterflies. I'm sorry. I just <i>HAD</i> to use them with the vellum.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I went for a Letterpress look with this card. I inked up the embossing folder with my Amuse ink and cranked it through the Big Shot. It's not perfect, but it's a cool effect.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_9wP9dz1M7U/T90b1IPxggI/AAAAAAAAGTI/cmdsLN8LNcA/s1600/IMG_9040.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_9wP9dz1M7U/T90b1IPxggI/AAAAAAAAGTI/cmdsLN8LNcA/s400/IMG_9040.JPG" width="302" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I die cut the vellum butterflies and glued them over the butterfly images. I used white vellum on the bottom three and the top tiny one is pink vellum.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love the 3-D effect the butterflies give it!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I made another card with the same products but different colors and layout. I'll try to post it tomorrow. Hope you are having a good weekend!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br class="Apple-interchange-newline" />I have been watching this new Challenge blog from the sidelines called <a href="http://thedynamicduoschallenge.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Dynamic Duos</a>. I love how it's just 2 colors. I can definitely handle that!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZamhI74sHTw/T9jjIMOtyNI/AAAAAAAAGS8/1X2yUM_cNUo/s1600/DD%236.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZamhI74sHTw/T9jjIMOtyNI/AAAAAAAAGS8/1X2yUM_cNUo/s1600/DD%236.png" /></a></div>
<br />
<br class="Apple-interchange-newline" />I love the colors for <a href="http://thedynamicduoschallenge.blogspot.com/2012/06/dynamic-duos-6-regal-rose-and-basic.html" target="_blank">this week's Challenge</a>. I don't own all of the SU colors yet. But I was able to make do.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OMpEmC5f5HI/T9jhL-uXY_I/AAAAAAAAGS0/oD7R6YVw1Xc/s1600/IMG_8941.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="237" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OMpEmC5f5HI/T9jhL-uXY_I/AAAAAAAAGS0/oD7R6YVw1Xc/s320/IMG_8941.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I just acquired PTI's Iconic Images set. At first it didn't appeal to me but it's slowly been growing on me.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I stamped then cut out the water pitcher. The flowers are from PTI's Year Of Flowers set. A few of the flowers with stems fit really nicely into the pitcher. I tried a few different looks out but I like this one best.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The gladiolus were hand cut and adhered. Not because I like to fussy cut, but because the copic marker I initially used didn't match too well with the cardstock.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am in the midst of learning how to stamp images in black, scanning them, and then making my own die cut files in the Silhouette Cameo. I am really, really excited because it seems to be working out very well. I'll be able to save a lot of money on dies to spend more on stamps!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
(My craft room is not completely done yet. I hope to have it presentable for a picture soon.)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thanks for stopping by!</div>

I've been gone for a while, I know. I've missed card making and blogging so much!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
School is out at the end of this week so I have been trying to finish up some home projects before the girls are constantly under foot and I can't get anything substantial accomplished.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am in the process of re-painting my craft room. Here is the before photo. (Minus the kid stuff.) It was a lovely shade of blood red with a racing car strip border. I was dreading re-painting this room. So it sat this way for almost 4 years. I finally got motivated because my daughter wanted to move into this room. I had to remove the border and prime the red. Then I painted it a nice shade of blue similar to Spring Rain for my little girl...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tMCXoDM2zY4/T8OxrvtXCVI/AAAAAAAAGRY/v4PCCNnPkxE/s1600/IMG_3641.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tMCXoDM2zY4/T8OxrvtXCVI/AAAAAAAAGRY/v4PCCNnPkxE/s320/IMG_3641.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
She was in this very pink room for a couple of years. Pink was her favorite color forever. Her entire wardrobe is pink. Her room, bedding, jewelry, toys. <i>EVERYTHING</i>. Then recently she declared that blue is her favorite color. So that began my painting frenzy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rPJI12GBSuM/T8OuKNuOTCI/AAAAAAAAGQ0/sO4SbvEnlXA/s1600/IMG_8592.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rPJI12GBSuM/T8OuKNuOTCI/AAAAAAAAGQ0/sO4SbvEnlXA/s320/IMG_8592.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I got to prime this entire room. Took a while. But it will be so worth it because it is now going to be my brand new craft room. I looked at about a dozen different paint chips until I finally found the perfect light turquoise. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8atkAexSyNI/T8OufjKvgPI/AAAAAAAAGQ8/wW3H-aqY8IU/s1600/IMG_8594.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8atkAexSyNI/T8OufjKvgPI/AAAAAAAAGQ8/wW3H-aqY8IU/s320/IMG_8594.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Turns out, it is exactly the same color as Aqua Mist! I am so happy! Aqua Mist is my favorite PTI color. I was worried about how it would translate onto a wall, but so far it's really pretty.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fBiY5Tm1K5A/T8OxCThHDsI/AAAAAAAAGRI/fXujOIi-ddo/s1600/IMG_8907.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fBiY5Tm1K5A/T8OxCThHDsI/AAAAAAAAGRI/fXujOIi-ddo/s320/IMG_8907.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I may need to paint another coat on it. I really don't want to, although it probably needs it. I'm trying to find the energy...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DIyCa3jd0RI/T8OxaHVGTxI/AAAAAAAAGRQ/6b9_X8QH_vc/s1600/IMG_8908.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DIyCa3jd0RI/T8OxaHVGTxI/AAAAAAAAGRQ/6b9_X8QH_vc/s320/IMG_8908.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then I need to move all of my furniture back into the room and set it all up and unpack all of my supplies and find new homes for it all. Whew!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I can't wait until I'm finished so I can have my space back. And time!! I miss stamping and I miss visiting everyone's blogs. I feel so out of the loop. Hopefully I will be back soon!! XO</div>

Today is the birthday of a very special friend of mine, <a href="http://cards-by-the-sea.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Joyce</a>. She is a constant ray of sunshine and simply makes my day whenever she stops by my blog. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I wanted to create something a little extra special for her.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I made a sort of tri-fold card. The front of the card is supposed to look like the inside of a house with wallpaper. You look through the window outside to see the butterfly and cattails.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2XbUKmp6irc/T6SJnc6w1MI/AAAAAAAAGP0/r-DeOf4mLF0/s1600/IMG_8391.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2XbUKmp6irc/T6SJnc6w1MI/AAAAAAAAGP0/r-DeOf4mLF0/s400/IMG_8391.JPG" width="328" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Once you open the card, you can see the butterfly and cattails better and....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-d1hqud6aQys/T6SLNr3-hnI/AAAAAAAAGQM/enq1lQBdEYI/s1600/IMG_8392.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-d1hqud6aQys/T6SLNr3-hnI/AAAAAAAAGQM/enq1lQBdEYI/s400/IMG_8392.JPG" width="323" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
...it reveals the Birthday message....</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-HcpduAj1qZY/T6SJ1cnGqdI/AAAAAAAAGP8/IOK-kdHgZZQ/s1600/IMG_8383.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-HcpduAj1qZY/T6SJ1cnGqdI/AAAAAAAAGP8/IOK-kdHgZZQ/s400/IMG_8383.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Opened all the way, you see another message and some more cattails, a flower and butterfly.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7EWwTU5PtCw/T6SKFchFbqI/AAAAAAAAGQE/mgD5qTNTn_8/s1600/IMG_8384.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="248" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7EWwTU5PtCw/T6SKFchFbqI/AAAAAAAAGQE/mgD5qTNTn_8/s400/IMG_8384.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i><span style="font-size: large;">HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOYCE!!!! </span></i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I hope you have a wonderful weekend full of love and time spent with family and friends!! XOXO

Once upon a time, I wanted to start a blog where I would show my crafty and cheap home decor items. I think it lasted one whole month before I just got too busy. And I never returned to it. You can see it here:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://onawalmartwallet.blogspot.com/">http://onawalmartwallet.blogspot.com/</a>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Fast forward 18 months and the bug bit me again. So I started perusing Craigslist. I found this solid wood dresser on Craigslist for $50. Kind of pricey, but I liked the design and really needed the drawers to help organize my home. So I grabbed it up!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><u><i>BEFORE:</i></u></b>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i><u>AFTER:</u></i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i><u><br /></u></i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After a few coats of white paint and some primer it is transformed. I spray painted the handles a nice blue. I know it's kind of different looking, but I need to put blue in my house any way I can get since dh won't let me paint any walls blue. ;-)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<br />
I am super happy with it and it's so much nicer than what has been in the foyer for years.<br />
(This boring Ikea sofa table.)<br />
Our dog has a balloon in his mouth, by the way. And the girls were chasing him. Fun times.<br />

Thanks for stopping by!<br />
<br />
I will have a new card on here this weekend. I missed stamping!!!</div>

I just <i>knew </i>I had to use the Little Bitty Birds Addition set to try to replicate it and create a card.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PhXXIOXYLdA/T4h5h5ieRlI/AAAAAAAAGN4/Z4gvA51WJKI/s1600/bitty+birds+in+mason+jar.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PhXXIOXYLdA/T4h5h5ieRlI/AAAAAAAAGN4/Z4gvA51WJKI/s320/bitty+birds+in+mason+jar.jpg" width="214" /></a></div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">Below you will see the final result. I tried matching it up as best I could.<br />
I used the Friendship Jar set for the banner underneath the birds.<br />
I wanted this card to be clean and simple.<br />
<br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NDB1yD_lVRM/T4h6KwhhHMI/AAAAAAAAGOI/rs2cucrOPuQ/s1600/IMG_8106.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="261" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NDB1yD_lVRM/T4h6KwhhHMI/AAAAAAAAGOI/rs2cucrOPuQ/s320/IMG_8106.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">This one was my first draft. It's very CAS.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-71JnDqNFL18/T4h6P7qNtiI/AAAAAAAAGOQ/wno9LHhOwsg/s1600/IMG_8122-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="275" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-71JnDqNFL18/T4h6P7qNtiI/AAAAAAAAGOQ/wno9LHhOwsg/s320/IMG_8122-001.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">This next one was me playing with the ink colors. I am horrible at coordinating colors. I liked the combo and went searching for some patterned paper. And lo and behold, I had some October Afternoon in my stash that was a perfect match!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iffs1STF9iM/T4h6WnHtzkI/AAAAAAAAGOY/72dG_skXcyo/s1600/IMG_8122.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iffs1STF9iM/T4h6WnHtzkI/AAAAAAAAGOY/72dG_skXcyo/s320/IMG_8122.JPG" width="266" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">This was my final try before almost giving up. I will not tell you how many jars I have left over with little bitty birds in them. Well, okay. You might see one tomorrow if I can finish it in time for a color challenge blog.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DWj3fByl4FM/T4h7XZKsJcI/AAAAAAAAGOo/Nl4Y6fP-69M/s1600/IMG_8128.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DWj3fByl4FM/T4h7XZKsJcI/AAAAAAAAGOo/Nl4Y6fP-69M/s320/IMG_8128.JPG" width="234" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
Thanks for stopping by!<br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b>Avocado, Blue Mist and Grey Wool</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b><br />
</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><i>I was able to use Fern (Amuse), Hawaiian Shores (PTI), and Slate (Amuse)</i></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bsVKB5alQms/T4CKE1JzwvI/AAAAAAAAGNw/gMK2hcNR18k/s1600/pdcc126.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bsVKB5alQms/T4CKE1JzwvI/AAAAAAAAGNw/gMK2hcNR18k/s320/pdcc126.jpg" width="256" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The first card I created, I used the same Hero Arts Brocade stamp simply because I had it stamped already. Hee. Took me all of 5 minutes to make. I added the sentiment and, of course, a butterfly.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">My light box has been a bit under the weather so I had my sweet little girlie hold the card for me outside.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-V8XFEVTi2-k/T4CJqBCq3eI/AAAAAAAAGNg/PN4UaTv6S4c/s1600/IMG_8035-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-V8XFEVTi2-k/T4CJqBCq3eI/AAAAAAAAGNg/PN4UaTv6S4c/s320/IMG_8035-001.JPG" width="274" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">The next card I made took quite a while to come together. I envisioned something different but I knew I wanted to use the Chevron stamp. Everything else was me second guessing what to use, where to put it. I'm still not sure I like the bow on the bottom, it almost went on the top.</div><div style="text-align: center;">For the Chevron background I tried PTI's MIM "Generational" stamping. Kinda cool, kinda grungy.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ud0drraIVhU/T4CJ6QneUaI/AAAAAAAAGNo/ElqlvPPuQTc/s1600/IMG_8036.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ud0drraIVhU/T4CJ6QneUaI/AAAAAAAAGNo/ElqlvPPuQTc/s320/IMG_8036.JPG" width="241" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Well there you have it from the blogging world's insecure stamper. ;-p</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><u><b><i><span style="color: #999999;">Gratitude Card :</span></i></b></u></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b><i><span style="color: #999999;">Stamps: Hero Arts Brocade, PTI Beautiful Butterflies</span></i></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b><i><span style="color: #999999;">Ink: Amuse Fern, Slate, PTI Hawaiian Shores</span></i></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b><i><span style="color: #999999;">Paper: PTI White, Chartreuse</span></i></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b><i><span style="color: #999999;">Misc: pop dots</span></i></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b><i><span style="color: #999999;"><br />
