Elzybells Swap
I joined an Elzybells Swap over on SCS and just finished making this card. Aren't they so cute? I love the Elzy girls.
That fence stamp is one of my latest, most treasured Ebay finds. I got it for a steal but more importantly, I just LOVE it! It can go with so many other stamps. Can't wait to see it with my Sugar Nellies girls.
I'm back on my swapping kick so I'm hoping that I'll be blogging a lot more in the coming weeks. Thanks for looking!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #4

I just LOVE this color combination!! And I love this bedding set. I even showed it to Hubby and told him how great it would look in our bedroom. ;)
PTI's Aqua Mist is one of my favorite colors. Ever! So I was so happy to be making this card. It came together very quickly, maybe about 10 minutes. Love those types of cards. It's a very simple layout because I didn't want to take away from the design of the images or make it too busy. I'm not too sure about the brown button on top of the Aqua Mist one, but without it it looked too plain.
Thanks for taking a peek at my card. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
Stamps: PTI Damask Designs
Ink: Palette Chocolate brown

Top Note Purse
I saw this cute little purse tutorial online and I just had to try it out. It was really simple and quick to put together. Great to put a Gift Card inside for Mother's day. Or some chocolate. Or a lovely piece of jewelry.
If anyone has any tips on how not to get Glitter all over the paper, or how to remove the unwanted glitter from the paper, please share!!
Hope you are having a nice, relaxing Sunday!

Copic Fun Carrying Case

This is my very first time participating in PTI's Blog Hop. I'm so excited!
Using Lauren Meader's wonderful template "All Boxed Up" I created a Copic Marker and Image Carrying Case. I love coloring images with my Copic Markers. I still need a bit of practice so I color for fun whenever I get the chance. Sometimes that means while I am in the carpool line at school, or a doctor's office, or just in front of the tv with the family. So I created this cute little holder so I can take it with me. It's small enough to be portable anywhere. Even fits in my purse!
{You can click on the images for a larger picture}
In these pictures you can see how compact it is:
When you open it up, one side holds the images which are your basic 1/4 sheet size.
And the other side holds the Copic Markers inside of a Clear Card box. I used sticky strip to hold the Clear Card box onto the cardstock. The box fits 9 Copic Ciao Markers (or Sketch Markers on their side) perfectly.
It was so easy to make that I created another one just for fun!
I hope you enjoyed seeing my creations! If you get a chance to make one yourself, please let me know. I'd love to see yours!!

Mother's Day Mojo
I received my new Verve Stamp set "Because of You" a couple of days ago. I could NOT wait to ink up these babies. And they arrived so FAST! I couldn't have gotten them quicker unless I went over the the Verve house myself. ;)
This stamp set is just so beautiful! And it is so versatile. This has got to be one of my most favorite stamp sets in a very long time! I love the sentiments and the fonts and the images. It's just soooo me. I know I will be using it not just for Mother's day, but over and over again. I just wish that the sentiment "Daughter" was included.
I wanted to create a simple silhouette card. Unfortunately it didn't come out like I had envisioned. I think this card is a bit too busy. I'm going to do another version of it this weekend. Maybe in a different color.
Thanks for looking and have a fantabulous day!!

A Special card for a Special Girl
A good friend of mine had asked me to make a card for her daughter's 18th birthday. My very first request!! I was excited and nervous to do it all at the same time. It took a while for me to play around with the layout and the inside of the card. She said her favorite color is Yellow, so I tried not to overdo it with the blue. I just wanted a complimentary color to help make it pop.
I got to use all sorts of techniques with this card! I used my Copics, my sewing machine, I heat embossed some images, used some stickles and my Martha Stewart punches. And tons of dimensionals for that 3D effect.
The inside of the card has a pocket which includes two tags. I figured she can write a few notes in there, or even stick a gift card on the tags.

Out of the Box
{You can always click on the images for a bigger picture}
I have unofficially dubbed Saturdays the Official Do Nothing day. During the week I am in my car every 3 hours carting kids to and from school. And that doesn't include the running of errands. So Saturdays I like to get the girls on auto-pilot and create some cards. Makes me less cranky. And we know what happens when Momma ain't happy. ;)
Today I was able to complete 6 cards for a swap that I am in on SCS. I went totally out of my box and sort of cased a card from Betsy V's blog. You can see her creation here. I changed it up a bit by using supplies that I had on hand. I guess I was going for her shabby chic look.
One word of advice: Do NOT stamp with glitter while wearing your running pants. It gets caught up in all those little holes in the mesh material. At least I'll sparkle while running. ;)

Ink: PTI Raspberry Fizz, Versamark

I'm in Love with a Dragon
Denny the Dragon that is! I stumbled upon this blog and had to buy a few of her cute stamps. When I saw him and his cute little heart shaped smoke puffs I knew I had to have him!! The stamps came from the UK and they arrived amazingly fast. I can't wait to order more.
I decided to try my hand at watercoloring again. I haven't watercolored, oh in about a year. I used a technique that I recently saw where you use a marker and outline the image then use your water brush to blend. Super easy and some nice results. (Although I do need some more practice!) I'm in a monthly card swap so I'm going to send this out to someone today.
Stamps: Pink Gems "Denny in Love", SU Short & Sweet
Ink: Versamark Black, SU Old Olive, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Going Grey
Paper: PTI Summer Sunrise, SU Rose Red DSP
Misc: Liquid Pearls, Stickles, SU Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon, Copics
Take a look at Pink Gem Designs newest release for April. These are so adorable! I hope to add some of these to my stash very soon!

Thanks for visiting today. Hope to post some more stuff soon!

Clean & Simple Baby Card
This week's CAS Challenge was to use a sketch. I had just received these cute Sweet Pea stamps by Pink Cat Studio so I just had to ink up this cute little baby!! I stamped the image a few times and used my Copics. Then I added dimensionals to pop up baby's head, legs and feet. I had her sit on the ribbon with her legs hanging off. Isn't that so cute?!! I saw Jenn Muraoka do that with one of her images last week.

Paper Piecing Birthday
(You can always click on the picture for a close up look)
Hello and Happy Sunday! I haven't had much time to stamp lately so this morning I put the girls on auto drive and snuck into my craft room for an hour. I wanted to start on one of my Swaps that my friend Kash is hosting on SCS. It calls for paper piecing on your card. I chose a very neglected Rubber Romance stamp. I love this image and it's perfect for paper piecing! I stamped it first on some green SU patterned paper, then some Chatterbox Patterned Paper. I used my newly acquired Copics (wahoo!) and I made her legs and dress 3-D. At the last moment I decided to try and make the ribbon on the image a real life ribbon. What a fit that gave me!! I'm not sure if I like the final look of it though. And I'm quite certain that only the Hostess will be getting this Special Edition card. ;)
Stamps: Rubber Romance, PTI Damask Design & Faux Ribbon
Ink: Versafine Black & Sepia, PTI Sweet Blush
Paper: SU Cameo Coral, Certainly Celery, SU Print Packs in Wasabi, Chatterbox Patterned Paper, PTI White
Misc: Nestabilities, Clear EP, Copics, SU Taffeta Ribbon, Dimensionals, CB Swiss Dots Folder
