Colour Q and the Paper Dolls Challenges

I saw this week's Colour Q challenge and thought I'd give it a try.
The colors to use are: Blushing Bride, Peach Parfait, So Saffron, Pear Pizaazz and White.

Now, I don't own anymore SU inks. But I do own almost every other manufacturer's inks out there!
So I substituted with some close matches.

For the flower, I took the heart stamp from PTI's Tag It's #11 set and stamped it 5 times, overlaying the ink a bit.
(I took the inspiration from a cute little kid's cup that I purchased at Target.)

I also used my $15 grass image stamp. I just LOVE that grass image. Well worth the money. ;)

This card was also made for the Paper Dolls Spring Bling Challenge. Come on over and enter to win some fabulous goodies from the generous Renee!!

Stamps: Papertrey Ink, Hero Arts
Ink: Fresh Impress Papaya, Pink Lemonade, Versamagic Aloe Vera and Thatched Straw
Paper: PTI White
Misc: The Twinery Twine, pop dots, rhinestones

  1. I love the overlapped hearts as flowers--genius! Such bright fresh colors too. Thanks for turning me on to that blog!

  2. I LOVE this!!
    Those hearts make fabulous flowers...
love the way the overlapping looks!!
    And such fabulous colors...
just makes me think Spring! :)

  3. Your flowers are just too sweet, hearts to form the petals, such a great idea! I love the soft, sweet colors too, just so beautiful.

  4. Your card is so sweet, Susan, love your flowers made from hearts! Thanks for joining us this week at the ColourQ and sharing your card.

  5. WOW Susan, this card turned out just ab fab. Loved the flowers that you created with the heart image, esp the overlap. That adds interest. If you do not mind, I had two questions fro you. Who makes the grass stamp that you used. And also the Fresh Ink from Impress Rubber stamps - do you like them? I was in seattle visiting their store, but never bought the ink. Does it require heat setting? Does it work well with clear stamps?

    1. Hi Banu! The grass stamp is by PTI. It's from the Hanging Out set. (I split the set with someone, then RAK'd her everything but the grass. So that's all I have from that set!)

I love the Fresh Ink. They are pigment, but dry fast. You could heat set them if you like. You could also use embossing powder if you are quick. I like pigment inks even though they stain the clear stamps a bit. But they work really, really well with all kinds of stamps. Even the cheapie ones. They are my favorite inks, right next to Amuse!

  6. Great card!!! Thanks for joining us at the ColourQ!!

  7. Love your card and I think your creativity useing Tag Its is fantastic!

  8. Love the little bits of bling in your card! Thanks for playing with us at ColourQ this week!
